For the first time in over a year, the Theatre at Ludgrove School was filled with the sound of live vocals as eight brave boys took part in the Solo Singing Cup.
The most unpredictable weather - sunshine, showers, hail, thunder and gale force winds - couldn't dampen the spirits, or smiles, of the Ludgrove cricket teams as they went back to the crease after 23 months absence due to the pandemic.
"Your parents and all the staff at Ludgrove want you to fly." Mr Barber kicked off the first Assembly of the new term by inspiring the boys to push themselves to be the best they can be.

The boys threw themselves into the annual Junior and Senior Cross Country races at Ludgrove with all their customary gusto and support for one another.
The Ludgrove community marked the year anniversary of the country's first lockdown, and to remember all those who have died during the last 12 months, by participating in the National Day of Reflection .
At the end of their first week back in School this term, the boys enjoyed a Sunday Funday packed with activities and visits to put a beaming smile on their faces.

Virtual Ludgrove heralds the start of the Easter term

With the news of a national lockdown announced just days before the start of the Easter term, Ludgrove was able to leap into action to revise and update its very successful Virtual Ludgrove on line learning facility and provide parents with a guide the evening before term commenced.
As the Michaelmas term drew to a close, the School published an electronic version of The Ludgrovian, full of news of all the excitement of the previous 14 weeks.
